Description

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is a clinical professional who services patients in their home/contracted facility by providing either clinical respiratory services or equipment management services on a scheduled visit/appointment or through on-call notification. Is responsible for completing day to day orders called into the Respiratory Therapy Department and follow up on visits for apnea monitor and or ventilator patients, in compliance with all regulatory agencies. Responsibilities include education of patient and caregivers regarding set up, use, maintenance and safety of respiratory therapy equipment in the home. Performs diagnostic testing on behalf of the physician. Communication with the patient's physician regarding clarification of orders or the patient's response to care may be required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Certifications and Licensures Required CRT (Respiratory) Or RRT (Respiratory Therapy) Required Respiratory Care Practitioner State of Florida Required Driver's License State of Florida
Education Required High School or Equivalent Required Technical Respiratory Therapy Or Associate's Respiratory Therapy
Experience Preferred 1 year Home Care Preferred 3 years Respiratory
