Provides strategic direction in the finance function at Universal Orlando, specifically ensuring accuracy of financial results (accounting function) and financial reporting submissions to NBCU and Comcast (reporting function). Candidate must participate in financial reviews with executive leadership.

  • Complete applicable monthly and quarterly reporting requirements by compiling, reviewing, and analyzing requested financial information.
  • Prepare and review worksheets, monthly variance commentary and analyze a range of accounts to verify accuracy, identify business trends or problem areas.
  • Create ad hoc analytics to assist in supporting business needs.
  • Present analysis and findings in clear and logical manner with strategic recommendations.
  • Create and define the key metrics used to better analyze the business and its needs.
  • Forecast key metrics based on current trends in the business and in the industry/economy.
  • Assist in creating and understanding Financial Reporting, Profit & Loss Statements and Pro formas.
  • Assist in the annual operating budgeting plan for the upcoming year, utilizing trends and meeting business goals.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Microsoft Office, Ability to Communicate Clearly, Organization Skills, Ability to Meet Deadlines, Forecasting, Budgeting, Analytical Thinking, Planning and Scheduling, Accounting Research, Knowledge of Accounting Principles, Decision Making Skills, Solution Development, Financial Planning, Financial/Business Analysis, Advanced Excel (Formulas, Charts), Proficient in Math and Statistics, Budgeting Software Experience, Presentation, Speaking at Executive Level, Forecasting, Scenario Analysis, KPI, Trending Knowledge

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Associate's degree (AA) in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.

EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years (Experience requirements also allow for an equivalent combination of education where requirements are not strictly met.)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Occasional local and long distance travel may be required.
