Grant Administrator of Youth Development

Location / Status: YMCA Metro Office, Part-time 

The YMCA of Central Florida has an exciting part-time opportunity for a Grant Administrator of Youth Development. S/he will manage the flow of information between grantor(s) and the Y to ensure the accuracy and timely processing of financial, administrative and grant reporting data ensuring that all requirements and deadlines set forth by grantor(s) are met.

This individual will manage, track, and analyze the financial position of all grants relative to Youth Development, School Programs, Achievers, and YMCA Disney Family Centers. S/he must have analytical skills required for everyday activities and projects to ensure compliance to funding. The incumbent will develop, communicate and maintain various guidelines and practices for business as it relates to each grant. The Grant Administrator coordinates design, collection and submission of billing documents monthly or quarterly to Grantor. Superior organizational skills are required to maintain files as necessary to ensure accuracy and timely financial reporting. S/he will manage all invoices and purchase orders relative to grant(s).  This includes ensuring invoice coding is accurate, copying and organizing invoices and purchase orders as needed.  This individual will develop and maintain a grant reporting tracking system to ensure all parties involved are aware of upcoming deadlines. This individual will communicate deadlines with all stakeholders to ensure timely receipt and completion of required reports and documentation in accordance with regulations, terms and conditions of the grants. S/he will prepare periodic financial reports for management review.

Under the direction of the Finance Director for Youth Development, this individual will coordinate contacts with funding sources to obtain necessary information to maintain financial records and funding levels. S/he must be self-motivated and able to work in a highly deadline driven environment, complete project management assignments and reporting as directed by the Finance Director, District Vice President(s) or the Association Finance department. This individual performs audits against system reporting to ensure accuracy and makes corrections as needed.  This individual is also responsible for submitting attendance reporting to the Finance Director and Middle School Leadership team. S/he must display a positive and professional outlook and demeanor, as well as represent the Y's core values. Typical hours of operations are Monday to Friday; however hours may vary depending on business needs at various times of the year.

Qualifications:                      

  • Associates Degree or equivalent required in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Grant Administration support and accounting, office, or business operations required.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required, including a high level of skill in Excel.  Advanced spreadsheet proficiency is desired.
  • Oracle experience a plus.
