SUMMARY: The Social Media Team plays a critical role in growing Universal Orlando Resort presence in the social media space. The team leads the development of digital and social marketing programs for multiple lines of business. In addition, the Social Team manages the Social Media Engagement Center. Responsibilities for this role include being a liaison for the response team in the Social Media Engagement Center in the Latin American and domestic markets. They will assist the team in monitoring social media conversations in English and Spanish. They will also engage with Guests in various social media channel real-time conversations, in English and/or Spanish. Responsibilities also include the following: language translation, clerical support, filing, activities implementation, weekly reports, and writing marketing correspondence.

*Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and oral) is required for this position.


*The International Social Media Coordinator will be an integral part of the emerging Social Media Engagement Center (SMEC). The position is responsible for seamless execution of the following day-to-day activities:
*Engaging with Spanish speaking guests in both international and domestic via social media monitoring tools
*Helping create a content newsroom that executes against channel strategy, optimizes content, and distributes content.
*Finding new and creative ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories and build our audience.
*Responsible for executing social publishing best practices with engagement benchmarks for all social channels
*Creating disruptive Spanish language social content for social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and more.
*Performing Spanish language translations for the UO Social Team
*Supporting the International Social team in developing new and creative ways to engage these audiences
*Coordinating department specific needs including scheduling, collateral, campaign tools, preparation for meetings, etc. Performs social media related administrative and clerical duties including but not limited to, correspondence, research, tracking, reporting.
*Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
*Performing other duties as assigned.

Consistent attendance is a job requirement.


*High School degree or GED is required.
*Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, or Communication is preferred.


*1-2 years' experience in communications, marketing, social media, digital media, or digital communications preferred

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be able to speak, read and write in Spanish. Social media experience and/or a strong understanding of social media channels is preferred. Strong writing skills preferred. Must have experience with the Microsoft office suites.
