Description

The Security Officer provides regular patrols of company property and buildings to ensure a secure and safe environment for hospital patients, staff and visitors. Special emphasis is placed on noting, reporting and documenting through written reports. When possible, takes appropriate measures to eliminate safety and security risks. Provides escort for individuals to and from their vehicles. Assists medical staff in controlling combative/violent patients through the application of restraints when necessary. Interacts with other agencies including but not limited to law enforcement, fire suppression, EMS and the Department of Corrections. Maintain firearm in operational ready condition. Required Florida Driver's license may not have more than 3 points. Position also requires a Security D License and must make application to the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for Class G license within 90 days.
