Salary Range: Minimum $55,016 | Midpoint $70,553 | Maximum $86,070 per year
NATURE OF WORK:
Responsible for administering the Home Investments Partnerships (HOME) Program and State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program, Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) and other grant programs as assigned. Performs administrative, professional and supervisory work involving state and federal grants for the Housing and Community Development Department. Serves as the principal professional and technical person within the department for activities and operations involving the development and preservation of affordable single family and multi-family housing units for the City of Orlando. Work includes: outreach to development community, grant applications, development of agency contracts and related monitoring to ensure compliance, resolving disputes, financial oversight and fiscal accountability including reconciliations to City, State and Federal Reporting systems. Responsible for Environmental Reviews, Section 3, W/MBE and Davis-Bacon reporting for HOME and SHIP grants. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Housing Division Manager and performance is reviewed for achievement of planned objectives through conferences, reports submitted, and results obtained.
Bachelor degree in planning, public administration, business management, construction management, accounting, economics, or related field and four years of progressively responsible experience in housing development, grant programs for housing development and preservation, or related comparable experience; at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of HUD IDIS, DRGR, and HEROS reporting systems preferred. Florida driver license required. Must pass polygraph examination.
