SUMMARY: Manages for the operational support of video surveillance systems and equipment property wide. Responsible for the development and management of all surveillance standards and operating procedures.


*Manages the operational support of all video surveillance systems property wide. To include ensuring the daily / weekly review of all cameras and other surveillance equipment to maximize up time and minimize poor quality issues.
*Manages both internal and external partners to ensure all repairs and replacements are completed in a timely manner. Produces regular statistical reports on outages and system downtimes.
*Controls system access, to include monthly audits and access reviews for use and compliance. Develops and maintains resort wide video surveillance standards and requirements. Manages software licensing, equipment warranties and budget.
*Provides strategic input to improve property wide surveillance and makes recommendations as to enhancements where possible. To include researching / testing emerging surveillance technologies and implementing best practices that can be beneficial to Universal Orlando.
*Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
*Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Supervises 1-2 Non-Exempt Full-Time Team Members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

SCOPE: This position will oversee all aspects of the video surveillance systems for all business units on UO property. Must also be available and would be expected to respond to any emergencies situations 24 hours a day.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

*Resource Planning; Customer Service Orientation; Microsoft Office; Research; Computer Operations; Project Management, SQL Server; Windows Server; Client/Server Architecture; Operations Experience; Budgeting; Communicate Clearly with Team; Organization Skills.
Consistent attendance is a job requirement.


*Bachelor's degree in MIS or IT is preferred. An Associate's degree (AA) in IT or Technical School is required.

*3-5 years of work experience in the physical security industry is preferred.
*Demonstrated technical and functional expertise in security principles, physical security design, and video surveillance.
*Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
*Prior supervisory or operational management experience is preferred.
*Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

*OnSSI Ocularis 5 Certification preferred; Microsoft Certification is preferred.
*Will require a valid Florida state driver's license.


While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

*Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) sit for prolonged periods; talk; use repetition-using an input device-a keyboard or mouse-in a steady manner; maintain alertness and attentiveness up to 4 hours while working varying hours; maintain concentration/focus (e.g., ability to interpret the work environment and make decisions on predetermined operating policies and procedure).
*Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) hear audible alarms, voice commands with background noise.
*Occasionally (1/3 of the time or less) stand and/or walk for prolonged periods (including ability to walk at a given pace that is predetermined by a moving sidewalk); use hands and fingers to grip, pinch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; climb stairs/ladders; reach, pull, push with hands and arms above/below head; repeat motions more than twice per minute; work in varied light conditions including low or diminished lighting; work in an environment with flashing lights including strobe lamps.
