The Grant Coordinator is responsible for assisting all grant and foundation fundraising efforts. This position is an excellent opportunity to stretch skills and be a key player in various aspects of development and while working for a well-known community based non-profit organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With the key objective to increase grant funding to support Quest’s mission, undertake prospect identification, research, proposal development, assembly of background material and writing.
- Accurate and timely production of final proposals.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with grantors. Track and document communications.
- Assist in the compliance and reporting requirements for grantors/funders.
- Assist with updating and maintaining Donor Pro donor database.
- Research potential major donor prospects.
- Assist with donor outreach, cultivation, and stewardship and provide administrative support, as needed.
- Update the Quest Grant Calendar and other organizational tools as needed.
- Serve as an active member of the Development team and assist with other department projects as needed.
- Serve as an active member of the Development team and attend all department meetings.
- Display enthusiasm for the mission of Quest and the individuals we serve.
- Follow all policies and procedures of the department and the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strongly communicate effectively through oral, written and interpersonal methods
- Self-motivate, stay on task and work independently; show assertiveness and initiative
- Organize and prioritize daily tasks to meet critical deadlines
- Monitor projects and create reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Senior, Graduate Student or recent graduate from an accredited college/university, preferably with a degree or credits in Communications, Journalism or Non-profit management.
- Must have excellent writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Previous experience in research and/or grant writing strongly preferred.
- Donor Pro software knowledge is a plus.
- Understanding of or prior work/volunteer experience in a non-profit a plus.
