FUNCTION: To facilitate consumers in the AIMS Program in their recovery; assist in the achievement of their maximum recovery, and independence in life.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Aid consumers with constructing Recovery Plans. Teach goal setting and achievement; teach skill interventions in a classroom and in community settings to achieve their goals; teach illness management to aid in recovery; teach job readiness and independent living skills for community integration.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Advanced knowledge of Psychiatric Rehabilitation intervention skills; medication management; experience with Co-occurring disorder preferred.
CORE COMPETENCIES: Recovery/Psychosocial interventions; crisis management.
JUDGMENT: Common sense and good judgment are important to job performance.

JOB REQUIREMENT:
Education: BA degree in Human Services
Experience: One year direct experience with persons having neurobiological brain disorder (SPMI) and substance abuse disorder preferred.
Personal Qualities: Employee must be empathetic, respectful, and treat consumers with dignity. Initiative, accuracy, and dependability are important. Must be able to advocate for consumer’s rights and provide hope and belief that consumer is able to recover.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Special Factors: Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor and collaborates with the treatment team on a regular basis. Must be able to assist consumer in preparation of Recovery Plan.
Essential Function: Monitor consumer behavior and communicate changes to team. Write lesson plans and provide direct skill teaching. Complete documentation of activities.
Staff Development: Completes all administrative and competency requirements as indicated in the Individual Training Plan. Attends all trainings on Recovery and Co-occurring Disorder
