Summary / Objective
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
Essential Functions
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all US and Canadian organization personnel.
- Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Develops and maintains EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Conducts recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel, conducts new-employee onboarding.
- Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Maintains company organization charts.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Handles Canadian employee recruitment, onboarding, exits and employee relations.
- Administrative support to VP of HR.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
Travel up to 20% including Canada
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of HR experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- PHR Certified
- One to Three years of human resource experience.
