Summary / Objective 
The Human Resources Coordinator  is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

Essential Functions

  1. Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all US and Canadian organization personnel.
  2. Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
  3. Develops and maintains EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  4. Conducts recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel, conducts new-employee onboarding.
  5. Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  6. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  7. Maintains company organization charts.
  8. Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  9. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  10. Handles Canadian employee recruitment, onboarding, exits and employee relations.
  11. Administrative support to VP of HR.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

Travel up to 20% including Canada

Required Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of HR experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.

  • Benefits experience essential
  • Excel & Power Point intermediate level required

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  2. PHR Certified
  3. One to Three years  of human resource experience.
