SUMMARY
The UX Developer will collaborate with other members of the User Experience Team to deliver a comprehensive and consistent digital experience to all of Cru’s audiences across a variety of platforms. The UX Developer will masterfully engineer front-end components with HTML5, advanced CSS and JavaScript libraries to present information in fresh, intuitive and creative ways. Responsive design, progressive enhancement, graceful fall-backs and other techniques should be utilized to support audiences using diverse devices around the world.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following:
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain innovative, engaging, and informative websites, apps and components for a worldwide audience.
- Integrates front-end user interfaces with back-end applications and our content management system.
- Performs website configurations in content management system to enable workflow, user rights & permissions, and enable other functionality as needed.
- Consults with team to prototype, refine, test, and debug websites; critiques and solicits feedback on web applications. Implements modifications based on feedback from users and management.
- Publishes documentation of developed applications including the logic, coding, testing, and modifications of solutions.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about developed applications and solutions.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and GitHub development experience.
- Experience with SASS or LESS compilation of CSS.
- Experience with mobile development, including responsive design.
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Strong consistency and attention to detail.
- Intermediate principles and techniques of digital development.
- Technical aspects and advances in digital technologies.
- Interpersonal skills using diplomacy, tact, patience, and courtesy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BA/BS or equivalent practical experience. 4 years developing clean, valid, and compatible websites and applications. Preferred experience with JavaScript libraries (e.g., jQuery, Modernizr).
