Position is located in Lake Mary, FL

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Notifies or locates members on delinquent vehicle loans.  Attempts to secure payment by appropriate means.
  • Has knowledge of FDCPA and TCPA.
  • Has experience and knowledge with automobile collections and repossession.
  • Has knowledge of laws and regulations related to repossessions.
  • Has knowledge of automobile insurance claims and GAP claims.
  • Must be very detailed and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have strong member service skills and have the ability to use information to effectively cure delinquency.
  • Has experience with skip tracing without the use of a skip tracing program.
  • Offsets funds from other CFE accounts to cover delinquencies.
  • Confers with member by phone to determine status of accounts and review terms of repayment.
  • Documents verbal and written correspondence with members regarding status of delinquent accounts.
  • Attempts to assist delinquent members into an extension, payment arrangements, or modification agreement.
  • Conducts diligent follow-up through queues and calendars to ensure appropriate follow-up on delinquent accounts.
  • Escalates problem accounts to appropriate management as necessary.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requires 3-5 years of collections experience within a credit union or other financial institution. Experience with collection of automobile loans, along with strong multi-tasking and PC skills required. Bilingual language skills a plus. CFE Federal Credit Union is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
