Description:
This position’s primary focus is monitoring and coordinating assigned safety, security, and risk management functions and preparing related reports.
Essential Functions:
• Generates departmental correspondence and weekly reports; coordinates with other departments to obtain information needed for special projects and meetings; coordinates board materials for department; schedules meetings; coordinates a variety of other administrative functions within the department.
• Reviews invoices for contracted security and off-duty law enforcement services; verifies accuracy of charges and forwards to manager for approval.
• Maintains database for trespass ordinances; keeps in contact with local law enforcement agencies regarding new, expired and modified trespass cases.
• Administers and maintains key-lock system.
• Administers and maintains LYNX’ security access program; assigns security access levels as directed by management for LYNX staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Administers and maintains the parking pass system for LYNX employees who use the City of Orlando Centroplex Parking Facility.
• Coordinates with security system and hardware vendors to ensure proper function of all systems and equipment.
• Oversees distribution and maintenance of radio/phone hardware for department.
• Coordinates the preparation, submission, and tracking of check requests, procurement requisitions and related documentation, purchase orders, and invoices for the department.
• Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university in business administration, risk management, safety, security or similar field.
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in which job functions included coordination and support responsibilities in risk management, safety or security.
• Two additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for one year of education.

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university in risk management, safety, security or similar field.
