Also responsible for design, development and execution of Visual Merchandising projects as needed in office or field. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Create approved furniture and merchandise plans using corporation guidelines, Dealer input and Visual Merchandise standards.Work with timelines.Be prepared and flexible to adapt to changing construction schedules.Communicate with supervisor and store construction for base plan accuracy.Reflect current merchandise initiative with layout and merchandise (advertising, circulars, etc.)Communicate with Retail Operations/Dealer to obtain approval of furniture and merchandise plans.Communicate setup procedures and requirements with Corporate/Dealers.Develop routines for timely execution of workload.Develop, maintains and update Visual Merchandising tools.Create and complete merchandise orders, work with Supply Chain for any necessary changes.Create complete Store Set-up Book ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Director with various special projects.Attend group meetings, seminars and trade shows.Mandatory attendance and participation in the setup of Dealer Show.Occasionally travel to setup stores as needed: (Travel up to 30%)Create and present all merchandise according to Visual Merchandise standards.Communicate with Retail Operations/Dealer on daily goals and expectations.Provide Retail Operations/Dealer with list of MIA merchandise and detail list of locations.Other travel as necessary JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related fieldAutoCad proficient, Microsoft Office experienceComputer graphics knowledge preferredSpace planning experience required - school plus at least 6 months practical experience.One to two years of retail space planning and store presentation experience preferred.Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, outside representatives and personnel by telephone, in person, or through written communicationAbility to assimilate information and make decisionsAbility to work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner.Good time-management skills and the ability to work independently.Be prepared and flexible to adapt to changing construction schedules.Ability to sit at the computer and view monitor, stand, walk, bend, stoop.Experience/Aptitude for design/presentation - scale, proportion, placement required.Ability to identify and distinguish colors.Ability to follow read, understand and follow instructionsAbility to lift and move furniture up to 75 lbs.
