Forklift Operator

Primary Functions:

• Transport palletized product and may place in racks in cooler.
• Use scan guns to document and track pallets.
• Pull cartons, boxes and any other needed supplies for production.
• Maintain cooler in an orderly manner.
• Maintain a clean work area daily.

Secondary Functions:

• All other duties as assigned by management.

Skills:

• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Visual and auditory acuity, hand and eye coordination, finger dexterity, and the ability to access work area.
• Ability to use scan guns.
• Ability to move, stack or unstack palletized product.
• Ability to discern and avoid safety hazards especially when driving.
• Ability to climb on and operate a forklift.
• Strong word recognition and oral communication skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• High School or equivalent, required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a food production environment, preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years forklift experience within the last 5 years.
• Experience and familiarity with bar coding and use of scan guns, preferred.

Other:

• Must have valid Florida driver license with no more than 6 points and pass in- house forklift driving and written tests.
