Newport Group has an excellent opportunity for a new head of Distribution and Sales of NQ Plans&Institutional Insurance. This position is responsible for optimizing Newport Group s existing distribution network and to grow our distribution of non-qualified recordkeeping services and institutional life insurance programs (COLI, BOLI, ICOLI, etc.). The candidate will direct and coordinate the activities of the Newport Group regional director team and be responsible for increasing profitable opportunities and sales through intermediary parters. The individual will be expected to manage a professional team, devise and implement strategies for growth and develop critical sales relationships. S/he will develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy and monitor performance objectives with specific metrics for the sales team. In addition, the position will be expected to contribute to product development ideas and service delivery enhancements for plan sponsors. In conjunction with the leadership team across other Newport Group business lines, the candidate will execute cross-selling initiatives with specific objectives and metrics for measurement. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in retirement plans administration and/or sales 5+ years of sales management experience In-depth knowledge of non-qualified plans, COLI and BOLI Relationships with wirehouses, consulting firms, accounting firms, BGAs, etc. Experience in building a network of relationships Demonstrated success in building and managing high performing sales teams Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced sales and team environment Exceptional organization skills, strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
