Job DescriptionOutsource is on the hunt for an experienced cable technician for commercial l installation projects in the Tampa area. We represent a majority of the regions most established and fastest growing low voltage contractors, and we are looking for a reliable voice and data cable technician for project based and full time work. Please send resumes to ...@outsource.net The basic scope of work for the cable tech position includes: Pulling and routing Coax, CAT5 or CAT 6 cable in a new construction commercial environment Terminating phone jacks Dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels) Testing cable/troubleshooting networking issues Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks) Requirements: At least 3 months of experience working as a cable technician, specifically installing voice and data systems in a commercial environment. Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc. Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
