Job Title: Engineering Technician
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager
OVERVIEW/POSITION PURPOSE:
Perform a wide variety of repairs, service and corrective measures around the Village.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to guest calls
- Electrical repairs or installations
- Plumbing repairs or installations
- Painting, caulking, patching, sealing
- HVAC Troubleshooting
- Pool maintenance, chemical balancing, cleaning and repairs
- Pest control application and/or removal
- Preventive maintenance on buildings, facilities, structures and equipment
- Provide transportation training to volunteers, which includes but is not limited to shuttles, tram, trains and other vehicles
- Adherence to attendance standards
- Additional duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:
- Consistently lift 75 lbs., unaided
- Ability to work in small, confined, poorly lit, or unconditioned spaces or environment
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule to include rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours of work
- Ability to use and climb a ladder
- Able to work outside with different weather conditions
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Ability to perform first response diagnostics on all work orders: safety and guest concerns addressed within one hour
- Must possess reasonable decision-making ability and be extremely safety oriented.
- Good communication skills
- High degree of integrity and motivation
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Ability to safely drive motorized vehicles, including battery-operated carts
- Ability to handle power tools and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma required; related courses and/or vocational training is a plus
- Minimum of two to three years of related experience
- Previous hospitality experience is preferred
