We are currently seeking a full time Staff Accountant in our NW Orlando location.  This role will maintain direct responsibility for supporting all aspects of AR/AP, as well as managing working capital and projected cash flow for our organization. You must demonstrate technological proficiency, especially in MD Great Plains and MS Excel.


Responsibilities:

  1. Handle Accounts Payable functions.  Match and review invoices/purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely payments. Research and solve billing issues promptly and accurately.  Audit and process sub-contractor invoices.
  2. Prepare and code AR invoices appropriately. Process and post cash receipts daily. Maintain and manage the AR Aging Report. Review credit applications, conduct financial analysis of credit history, handle credit review process and establish credit accounts.
  3. Review files for credit collections action.  Conduct credit collections calls as necessary.  Prepare and maintain Daily Working Capital and Projected Cash Flow Forecast.
  4. Prepare ancillary commissions, incentives and bonuses for payroll.
  5. File Monthly sales & Use Tax with FDR.
  6.  Assist with review of month-end closing activities including GL maintenance and balance sheet reconciliation.
  7.  Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience, preferably in a home improvement and/or construction environment. Two to five years financial and/or management experience with day-to-day financial operations is required. 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, computer skills are a must. Great Plains and MS Excel software aptitude required.  Must be familiar with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.

Excellent administrative, organizational, customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be well-organized and self-directed and work well in a team environment.
Must be an energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with a high degree of professionalism, integrity and ethical standards.  Must be able to prioritize and multi-task while working in a fast paced, customer focused environment.  Must be detail oriented.

Must be able to pass a background check, credit review and pre-employment drug screen.
