  JOB DESCRIPTION
A Postdoctoral position is available to study regulation of fuel metabolism by glucagon-like peptide-1 (Glp1). Efforts will focus on the role of peripheral vs. central (i.e. brain) Glp1 in the regulation of glucose metabolism and insulin action. Projects will primarily utilize mouse models, although candidates will also be expected to explore molecular and cellular mechanisms using a variety of approaches, including molecular biology and cell-based assays.

The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. and/or MD and a strong background in one of the following areas: metabolism, mouse models, cell/molecular biology. The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team. The candidate will have access to a variety of state-of-the-art core services, including cardiometabolic phenotyping, histology, imaging, pharmacology, metabolomics, and drug screening.

The successful candidate will be expected to plan, execute and analyze experiments and acquire news skills independently.
