Disney Offers Free UCF Tuition to Its Employees
Disney has added the University of Central Florida to their Disney Aspire education program. The program provides 100% free tuition to eligible U.S.-based hourly full-time and part-time Disney cast members and employees.
The program can even reimburse students for their application fees, textbooks, and other course materials. Since the program was launched in August of 2018, about 40% of Disney’s full-time and part-time hourly employees have signed up for Disney Aspire.
“Since its launch, Disney Aspire has enabled thousands of Cast Members to dream bigger and reach higher,” says George A. Kalogridis, president of Walt Disney World Resort. “Adding UCF to this prestigious network of schools will provide our Cast Members with even more options to create the futures they imagine.”
The addition of UCF will allow more than 53,000 Disney employees to enroll in the program. Employees who are admitted to UCF will be able to choose from 34 undergraduate and master's degree programs. They will also have access to 10 programs that are completely online.
“We could not be more excited to be working with Disney to make a high-quality college degree even more accessible,” says UCF president Thad Seymour Jr. “Many of our students already are Disney employees who will immediately benefit, and this program has the potential to change lives in our community for generations.”
UCF isn’t the only Florida school in the program, the Disney Aspire network also includes the University of Florida and Valencia College.
