The Largest Diversity Job Fair in the Southeast is About Career Education
Unlike years ago when job seekers had to wait for the Sunday paper to be delivered to look for jobs, today job seekers have too many jobs 24/7 coming to them from hundreds of sources. This is keeping job seekers busy; or at least they think they are making progress in the job search.
Since the recession, companies are hiring again but being very specific in “who” they are hiring. Also, technology has changed for many companies and job seekers find themselves using job search techniques they used five years ago. While you may get some traction, many job seekers need training to get their next great job.
On November 21, 2014 at the Amway Center, five career experts will be there to help job seekers “get the job”. You will learn what should be on your resume, how to dress, how LinkedIn may be a great tool for the job search, how employers interview and many other real life tips that will help you understand how employers hire. Co-Founder of OrlandoJobs.com Roger Lear states, “Job seekers need help in understanding that what they think should happen when they apply to a job, is not happening. It’s kind of like when all the computer components were added to the automobile engine. Old school mechanics were eventually lost their business to car dealers who understood how to fix the problem. Many in the job search currently are still old school mechanics.”.
Roger Lear and four other career experts speak at this years Career Expo on November 21, 2014.
