Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW:
This job reports into the Purchasing Manager of Protein Purchasing supporting the analytical & reporting needs of the Protein Purchasing team. This job is a blend of analysis, technical support, development, and planning. This job requires the ability to interact across multiple levels of management both internally and externally.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for several areas of analysis and reporting each week to include:
1.Supply and production models
2.Market and forecasting models
3.Inventory tracking & depletion models
4.Pricing sheets
5.Purchase authorizations and tracking
-Format and communicate usage forecasts to suppliers
-Support buyers in bid compilation and analysis
-Work on special projects across multiple platforms including brand presentations
-Support buyers with inventory management
-Support cost savings reporting
-High degree of flexibility and business process understanding necessary.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-Minimum of one to three years of Purchasing / Supply Chain / Financial Analysis or combination of relevant experience and education
-High end user knowledge of all Microsoft desktop applications
-Strong excel & model building skills
-BI query and end user knowledge
-Data analysis
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
-Bachelor's degree – preferably in business, supply chain, or hospitality
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
-Team oriented approach, ability to interface across multiple departments and levels
-Detail oriented with strong communication and follow through skills
-Ability to complete work with minimal supervision
-Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiples tasks at a given time
-Passion for restaurant industry / hospitality
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
-Work experience / internship in purchasing or supply chain
