Position Summary
The U.S. Center for Board Effectiveness is a strategic growth platform for Deloitte LLP (“Deloitte”) to execute, in partnership with the businesses, the vision to be the catalyst to build and sustain current and future board member relationships. The Center for Board Effectiveness (“the Center”) accomplishes this through an outstanding portfolio of initiatives and offerings, training curriculum, board insights, market information, and service solutions. Work you'll do The Center for Board Effectiveness – Senior Manager will have knowledge of and experience with the governance and regulatory landscape, insight into the role of the corporate board and committees, a thorough understanding of the role of the board in concert with management, understanding of the one-to-many relationship represented by a board/committee member relationship, and visibility around Deloitte's ability to serve and support board and committee members. This Senior Manager position provides a unique opportunity for a professional to support Center programming through eminence-building and knowledge-sharing activities. This Senior Manager will take an active role in positioning Deloitte as a leader in the governance arena and in developing trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders including C-suite executives and board members. Activities may include managing Board and Audit Committee Labs, supporting board readiness and board governance dialogues, supporting signature events for experienced board members, and working in collaboration with the Global Center for Corporate Governance. All projects will help Deloitte foster strong relationships with client boards, help ensure a consistent corporate governance message is delivered to all constituencies, and include collaboration with Deloitte leaders and LCSPs on our largest clients. Deloitte Governance Advisory Council – Board-Ready Oversight – This Senior Manager will lead the planning and execution of the current National-Board Ready Program as well as additional supplemental programs (both in-person and virtual). This will include: Marketing communication oversight, nomination process and roster management, including post program reporting, enhancing the Board-Ready Program strategy and programs, review and enhance all materials for programs, work with USI to prepare periodic reports for US and Global reporting by analyzing information, creatively preparing information and usable statistics Signature Event Delivery – This Senior Manager will act as a session lead, LCSP liaison, and reporting manager for the Center's premiere programs including the Board Symposium and Audit Committee Symposium. This will include providing leverage for the program PMO, helping develop strategic communications for senior leadership and LCSPs, program design, planning and onsite delivery. A significant portion of the role includes working closely with external board member speakers to develop content and strategic messaging for delivery at the premiere programs. Support Center for Board Effectiveness Strategy Engage in cross-Executive Accelerators strategic initiatives Opportunities as Senior Manager in the Center for Board Effectiveness: Qualifications The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,700 to $243,700. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
