Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the efficient flow of orders from the servers to the kitchen.
- Ensuring orders are being prepared with the correct priority.
- Assisting in the final preparation of dishes.
- Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature.
- Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request).
- Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
- Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
- Report any inconsistencies of the operation to leadership.
- Inspect final products for presentation standards prior to delivery.
- Work as the point person between Culinary & Front of House Team Members to ensure consistent guest service and needs are met.
- Assist with restock of inventory.
- Complete side work as assigned.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Engage in a positive guest focused environment.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience
- 1-2 years of hospitality and restaurant experience, customer service focus
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant.
- Food, alcohol, and safety certifications under FL requirements.
- Written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of performing the role in a busy work environment.
- Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines.
- Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 25 pounds.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
