Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to interact professionally with internal & external costumer on order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Place daily orders for Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other resort departments on an as needed basis.
  • Research new products for department needs and cost savings.
  • Enter receipts into the computer system adhering to requirements of accounts payable. Responsible for providing receiving records and invoices/packing slips to accounts payable daily.
  • Manage inventory levels daily and perform month-end inventory of all storeroom products.
  • Monitor inventory, track delivered packages, perform buying duties.
  • Issue items per authorized requisition. Issue product on a first in-first out basis.
  • Supervise daily operations, receive, date, price and rotate all items.
  • Deliver requisitioned items in van and carts to the appropriate departments and obtain signatures on all requisitions.
  • Advise Manager of any stocked item shortages or removal of the last of a stocked item.
  • Perform month-end inventory of all storeroom products.
  • Ensure all storage and receiving areas organized, clean and clear of hazards always.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of storeroom equipment (vehicles, pallets jacks, doilies, carts, scales, etc.)
  • Ensure all storeroom carts, doilies and pallet jacks accounted for in the storerooms or on the loading dock.
  • Oversee staff, ensure work is safe, monitor quality control and distribution of goods.
  • Ensure only authorized personnel have physical access to the storeroom.
  • All requisitions are to be issued by the end of each day.
  • Any maintenance problems, lost items, safety hazards, unauthorized entries or any other problems are to be reported to the manager.
  • Receives all food, beverage, and other resort products.
  • Code and sign invoices appropriately for accounting processing. Communicates shorts on invoices.
  • Verifies what items are per specifications/quality levels and match to purchase order.
  • Log liquor invoices into perpetual log.
  • Answer phones in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to property and company policies and procedures.
  • Directly responsible for sanitation in the Storeroom area.
  • Motivate, organize, and encourage team work to ensure productivity.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.
  • The ability to work various shifts or days of the week according to business needs.
  • Be familiar with all property amenities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School graduate or equivalent work experience
  • One-year experience working in a resort environment Purchasing Department
  • Valid Drivers license,
  • Able to drive a motor vehicle, golf cart or any type of delivery service vehicle.
  • Good computer skills in Excel, email, web browsing, and scheduling software
  • Good typing skills (45 wpm or better)
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient
  • Must have good mathematics skills, inventory control and analysis of needs knowledge.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, hazard materials and safety equipment procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Outstanding organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, an ever-changing environment and prioritize job duties.
  • Capable of working scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically.
  • Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
  • Able to sit, stand and walk for consecutive hours at a time.

  • Visually look at a computer for extended periods.
