The University of Central Florida, the 2nd largest university in the US, is a metropolitan research university with an enrollment of 63,000 students who attend classes on UCF's main campus and its 11 regional campuses located throughout Central Florida. Established in 1963, UCF has 12 colleges. Offering 225 degree programs, it has become an academic and research leader in numerous fields, such as optics, modeling and simulation, engineering and computer science, business administration, education, science, hospitality management and digital media and has granted more than 186,000 degrees in its 50 years of offering classes.
