The Medical Assistant I II or III assists physicians with patient examination, procedures and treatment. This position supports high volume and/or specialty providers. Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab. Follows up on test orders and reports results to the physician and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, inventories clinical and drug supplies. May obtain clinical, financial and demographic information. Create and maintain patient charts. File charts and reports. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Certifications and Licensures Required CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA within 90 days


Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Or RN (Registered Nurse)

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant and have some Pediatric MA experience or externship.

Education

Required High School or Equivalent Preferred Technical Medical Assistant
Experience Preferred 6 months Medical Assistant experience Or 2 years Licensed Practical Nurse Or 2 years Registered Nurse
