Description

The Distribution Technician I is responsible for completing the daily tasks associated with a centralized distribution center categorized by receiving, picking, and staging. Responsible for the daily inspection, staging and/or stocking of all supply deliveries to the BISC while exceeding minimum standards for accuracy and timeliness. Ensures that irregularities such as receiving shortages and overages, product damage, etc. are immediately brought to the attention of the freight carrier and the responsible internal party. Responsible for the picking, packing and staging of daily Low Unit of Measure (LUM) and bulk orders for delivery to all customers while exceeding minimum standards for accuracy and timeliness. Responsible for ensuring those irregularities such as stock outs, expired items, damaged goods, etc. are immediately brought to the attention of the responsible internal party. The Distribution Technician I is required to operate all manual and mechanical material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and turret truck. Ability to operate powered industrial equipment at an elevation of 20 feet.
