Tavistock Group is an international private investment organization comprised of a family office, trading operation, and a portfolio of public investments and private companies. These investments are concentrated in nine primary sectors, including: real estate, hospitality, restaurants, sports, energy, retail, life sciences, agriculture, and finance. We are currently seeking an HR Generalist/Benefits to join our team

Duties Include:

  • Administer benefit plans, monitor costs and contributions, ensure compliance and assist with health strategy for a plan with approximately 1300 participants
  • Process payroll for multiple small employers with less than 50 employees each
  • Lead annual open enrollment process
  • Assist with health claims management for self-insured health plan
  • Assist employees with claims; act as liaison between insurance providers and employees to resolve insurance-related problems
  • Lead company efforts related to wellness and consumerism and manage relationships with the related vendors
  • Serve as system administrator for the benefits systems, provider websites and assist with implementation of file feeds and new systems as needed
  • Prepare benefits analysis reports to track utilization and metrics
  • Reconcile monthly insurance benefits invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation and billing to various Tavistock companies
  • Assist with Section 125 compliance and reporting
  • Assist with 401(k) benefits, track utilization and metrics, assist with education and enrollment and annual audit procedures
  • Prepare and file consolidated annual EEO report
  • Provide day-to-day Human Resources support for multiple Tavistock companies
  • Maintain and review Employee Handbooks annually
  • Assist with development of employment policies and procedures
  • Maintain employee time off records and manage leaves of absence
  • Monitor unemployment claims, maintain and control rates, prepare applications for other states
  • Assist in maintaining statutory compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA and other applicable legislation
  • Provide support to the VP of Human Capital, working together to complete various human resources and employee benefits initiatives
  • Assist with employee events
  • All other duties as assigned



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-10 years benefits administration experience required
  • Experience with benefits administration systems required
  • SHRM-CP, CEBS, PHR or equivalent designation preferred
  • Membership in SHRM and CFHRA preferred
  • Experience processing payroll required
  • Knowledge and application of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, EEO, FLSA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, ADA, FMLA and other employment and labor related guidelines and regulations required
  • Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency required
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to maintain good relations with employees, supervisors and the public and have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English, Spanish a plus
