Description

The Guest Services Patient Advocate serves as liaison between hospital patients, physicians, staff and family members. Assures patient and family needs are met and handles patient or family complaints, concerns and questions. Performs all hospital interpretation utilizing the ASL (American Sign Language) system for deaf and hard of hearing patients, their family members and hospital staff face-to-face or via video remote. Assists Guest Services Manager in the coordination and ongoing support of the language services programs for Morton Plant Mease Hospitals.

Required RID NIC certification and 2 years medical interpretation experience. CMI or CID certification preferred.

Associates degree in Sign Language/Interpretation required.
