The Coding Auditor performs audits and evaluates compliance related activities and services provided by BayCare Medical Group (BCMG). Interacts directly with clinical personnel including physicians. Audits may include documentation and coding of Evaluation/Management services, procedures, and diagnoses while utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and other official coding references to ensure accurate coding. Performs special audits for specific issues within BCMG and will oversee the current coding and visit audits routinely done for Primary Care, Specialists and Hospitalists. Acts as the Liaison for coding issues with the BSO Corporate Compliance Department while maintaining a database of all audits performed, action taken, outcome and resolution. Provides feedback when coding changes are received and will serve as a resource for the BMG physician office practices. Serves as a resource to the coding department for special projects.
