Harbor Community Bank one of the fastest growing banks in Florida has an exciting opportunity for a Residential Mortgage Processing Manager. The Residential Mortgage Processing Manager is responsible for providing effective and efficient management of the residential administrative assistants and processors.  This includes but is not limited to recruiting, hiring, developing, and evaluating a cohesive, service oriented team that provides support to the mortgage loan officers (MLOs) by performing due diligence tasks related to residential loan applications by first preparing the file to be underwritten and after initial underwrite clearing required underwriting conditions.  Responsibilities include ensuring volumes are adequately managed, appropriate quality levels are maintained and established turn time levels are met or exceeded.  Must possess a high level understanding of all regulatory and statutory requirements related to mortgage loan originations and a high level of knowledge of the requirements of portfolio, agency and government loans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Incumbent would typically possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial institution or Mortgage Company’s residential production support department with a minimum of 2 years residential loan processing experience or a combination of 7 years education and work experience in residential mortgage lending.  Work related experience should consist of residential loan originations, processing and/or closing related duties; mortgage loan underwriting to agency and government guidelines is a must.  Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising/managing personnel with the proven ability to recognize talent and develop staff. 
  • High level knowledge of mortgage lending related state and federal compliance requirements as they relate to the processing function.  Able to easily adapt to the changing regulatory climate and to create effective working procedures to support changes.
