It's home for colleagues within practice administration, recruiting, analytics, design, learning, benefits and other roles. McKinsey&Company has more than 100 locations in over 60 countries and operates as a global partnership.What You'll DoYou will contribute to the Human Resources team success by coordinating key HR processes and programs while providing guidance to the team.You will be responsible for the smooth operation of the core HR team including monitoring day-to-day workflow, prioritization of critical requests, consistency in approach and building team resources to consolidate key information. You will collaborate with cell HR colleagues to continue to build a cohesive HR community which may include negotiating work requests when team is capacity-constrained, and continuing to develop positive, collaborative relationships. You will also monitor the team's capacity and capability issues and communicate to the HR Manager on regular basis.You'll have the opportunity to continuously innovate workflow processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You'll collaborate with the HR Manager to build and develop the team, including coaching, motivating, training, and evaluating individual team members. You will assess development needs, arrange for individualized and/or group-based training, and develop and deliver training in conjunction with team members'Professional Development Plans.You will conduct timely and thorough performance evaluations by gathering, summarizing, and delivering feedback (on an ongoing basis, as well as formally during year-end reviews) and you'll onboard new team members by coordinating their systems access, training plan, and providing mentorship as they ramp up. You will assist with recruiting efforts to maintain appropriate staffing levels, including assisting with screening and interviewing.You will also oversee administrative duties including time sheet review and approval, monitoring overtime, approving vacation, and tracking sick time, in accordance with firm policies and procedures while creating and maintaining an energizing, high-performance work environment reflecting McKinsey values, a collaborative team-based culture, and a service mindset. You will address concerns and problem-solve complex HR issues and exceptions to general policies in collaboration with office-based HR teams throughout the US and work collaboratively with the Senior HR Analyst to maintain the integrity of the firm's US people data, proactively identifying and rectifying inconsistencies. You will also ensure adequate coverage and delivery of superior customer service to firm members.You will mentor and directly supervise the core HR team including HR Administrators and Senior HR Administrators. You'll also be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Tampa based core central HR team which supports all U.S. based colleagues. A successful Senior HR Team Leader will focus on providing direct support to the HR Administrators and Senior HR Administrators and assist the HR Manager with development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
