Job Description Summary:

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

The Leisure Sales Manager is responsible for generating conference business from a local, vertical and national markets, maximization of sales, development of potential markets and sound administration of assigned responsibilities through sensible delegation and personal attention to detail. Manage retail travel advisor accounts and preferred agreements to exceed guest & TA expectations; develop new business opportunities and relationships and to exceed revenue goals as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE

• . College graduate or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 2-5+ years as a manager within the Sales & Marketing department
• Previous, extensive leisure sales experience
• Past hotel experience in a luxury hotel preferable a four-diamond resort.
• Must have knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact.
• Must be able to effectively work with a variety of internal and external customers and staff.
• Must have basic math skills to prepare cost proposals.
• Must be able to travel throughout designated markets.
• Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to read newspapers, periodicals, journals, and manuals.Write business letters, summaries, and reports, using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
• Mathematical development sufficient to perform the four basic arithmetic operations with all units of measurements.
