SUMMARY
The editor will assist in the production and distribution of effective, story-driven donor reports.
FOR THIS POSITION:
- Edit reports for grammar, style, structure and content. This includes: Coaching writers on the Jesus Film Brand Guide and Jesus Film Gospel of Style, and crafting ministry stories that connect on an emotional level.
- Manage the flow of information. This includes: Analyzing needs, prioritizing reports and updating report phases in tracking software or databases.
- Seek to maximize all international news/information both within and outside the department.
- Uphold and support confidentiality classifications and standards for communications out-of-office.
- Organize and/or provide training opportunities for the writers.
- Meet regularly with the other editors on the team for workload sharing and team strategizing.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in English writing OR two years professional editing experience in the reporting or publishing field
- Knowledge or experience in mission or intercultural communications (preferred, but not required)
- Experience in nonprofit fund development or marketing (preferred, but not required)
