Stitcher Operator, Experienced, Full time, for Commercial Bindery

Duties and Responsibilities:

Bindery Stitcher Operator position is responsible for:

• Primarily responsible for Saddle Stitcher operation. 
• Installation and adjustment of machine knives, side guides, feed guides, holding clamps, pockets, rollers, jogging tray at discharge end of the machine and other machine parts to accommodate sheets, signatures or books.
• Ensuring each job is run to customer required specifications and quality expectations
• Maintaining and repairing bindery equipment as required
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work area
• Knowledge of the operation of other bindery operations, cutting, folding,  and additional assorted bindery equipment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years experience in a commercial bindery
• Strong mechanical skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to follow detailed instructions
• Prefer experience with Muller Martini Stitcher
• Must be reliable and flexible to meet customer demands
• Communicating with others in a positive and helpful manner
• Excellent organizational and mathematical skills
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends
• Ability to stand continuously for 12 hour shifts
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
