BASIC FUNCTION: Sterling Payment Technologies provides payment services to merchants nationwide. These services are delivered through two primary sales channels, iPOS and B2B. The iPOS channel focuses on working with developers (ISVs or integrated system VARs) and resellers of integrated point of sale systems to drive the sales of payment solutions to merchants. The B2B channel focuses on direct sales to merchants, many of which utilize ERP and accounting systems. These merchants require that their payment solution be integrated into the core functions of their ERP and accounting platform. Sterlings ability to effectively work with system integrators and resellers to implement payment solutions in both of these channels is critical to our success. The Certification Analyst is responsible for successfully working with developers from both channels to develop and implement payment solutions that meet the needs of our merchants and that can be easily installed and supported. In performing this role the Certification Analyst will assist the assigned Sales Engineer and Sales Executive/Channel Manager to define the solution and the development plan, utilizing existing Sterling and its partners functionality. The Certification Analyst will have the lead role in working with the developer to conduct the required system certification(s) once the solution is defined and developed. This certification can include message testing, hosted pay page testing and potentially could include guiding the developer through full Card Brand EMV certification. As the certification(s) near completion the Certification Analyst will work with the assigned Sales Engineer and/or the ISV Beta Manager to prepare and implement the beta process and ultimately the production launch of the solution. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Work with the Sales Engineer (and potentially Product Manager) in guiding the developer in the design of the solution by leveraging the existing technical and product assets of Sterling and/or its partners;2. Manage each certification project from initiation through conclusion;3. Provide up to date communications related to the certification project to appropriate internal parties through the designated processes;4. Prepare the required turnover documentation related to the certification;5. Respond to questions and inquiries from developers related to the certification and related technical and product topics including providing guidance related to payment processing;6. Inform the developer of any card brand qualification requirements and issues;7. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the developers;8. Serve as a liaison between vendors, sales team, integrators, and merchants;9. Assist sales from a technical perspective as they identify new integrators and opportunities;10. Provide feedback to Product Managers related to product gaps or new product opportunities;11. Maintain up to date knowledge on payment products, technology related to payments and card brand regulations;12. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of 5 years experience in electronic payments in either a technical or product related role;3. Experience in working with system integrators preferred;4. Experience with payment related hardware and software preferred;5. Understanding of message formats and networking preferred;6. Demonstrated expertise and success in working in a team environment to accomplish goals;7. Ability to demonstrate initiative and be capable of self-managing with little direction required;8. Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with individuals or groups internally and externally and at various levels required;9. Project management skills required;10. A commitment to excellent service and relationship required;11. Excellent time management and organizational skills required;12. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking, flexibility and adaptation to change;13. Proficiency in MS Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint is required, (Visio a plus);14. Ability to continually learn about new technology and apply it to meet the needs of the end user.
