As a Security Officer you maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees by effectively implementing all safety and security procedures. You will be proactive in all loss control programs.
Security Officers will –
- Secure facilities, equipment and other assets.
- Monitor surveillance equipment.
- Dispatch radio calls.
- Respond appropriately to calls for service.
- Maintain a high profile security presence to deter criminal activity and serve guests and employees.
- Provide basic First Aid.
- Inspect buildings and equipment.
- Prevent loss and damage by responding to emergencies, reporting irregularities, enforcing policies and procedures, and restricting access to trespassers.
- Assist in investigations; completes written reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviews witnesses; and obtains photographs.
- Maintain professional relationships with law enforcement and emergency response personnel.
- Create a positive team atmosphere and a focus on customer service by establishing good relationships with all staff and guests.
- Assist with crowd control.
- Conduct bag searches.
- Assist with daily money escorts.
- Answer incoming calls to Command and Control.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age and have or be able to obtain a Class D Security License with-in 90 days of employment. Verbal and written communication skills, excellent reasoning ability, and interpersonal skills are a must. Candidates must have or be able to complete CPR, AED, and First Aid certification and have at least one year of security and/or law enforcement experience. As a team player you will need to be able to work flexible hours, stand/walk for prolonged periods, and use security related tools. A successful candidate will need a good understanding of Word and Excel. Customer service is an essential focus that must be displayed during all interactions with guests and staff.
