We re looking for a Regional Sales Manager to cover our South Central&Southeast region. This candidate can be located in our Orlando office or work remotely. The ideal candidate has the ability to travel extensively (2-3 weeks out of the month) and has a technical theatre background with the knowledge of stage rigging. You should be a self-starter that s capable of setting goals and reaching those goals while being friendly, outgoing and enjoys meeting new people. Representative Responsibilities:Create new business opportunities and generate sales for ETC RiggingWork with dealers and reps to call on end users and specifiers (consultants, engineers, and architects) to get ETC specified on new projectsKeep abreast of consultant activity relating to Rigging projects.Maintain contact with key end user accounts in assigned region.Help promote ETC Rigging through direct visits with customers and future prospects.Develop personal and long-term relationships with these clients.Travel extensively to visit these customers and prospects.Attends regional trade shows and follows up on leads from national trade showsStimulate the existing Factory Representative network towards selling more ETC equipment into the Rigging markets.Maintain good contact and relationships with ETC representatives and dealers through direct contact and via telephone.Assist ETC Rigging General Manager, VP of Sales, National Rigging Sales Manager, Regional Managers and Representatives and Dealers in strategic planning for bids and proposals to sell ETC equipment into the Rigging markets.Actively follow up on these proposals and assist in closing orders.Develop long-term relationships with Specifiers and Factory Representatives to insure future business for ETC Rigging.Stay abreast of the competitive sales environment in assigned regions and respond appropriately to insure adequate volume of sales and adequate sales margin for ETC.Work with the Regional Managers and Quotations group to establish discounts on a job by job basisKnow the competition and their operational stylesEvaluate Representative progress in each area, and work with Regional Managers to implement improvements and changes.Identify weak areas of the sales region and make efforts to strengthen those areas through training/promotion and direct contact with people in the regionMaintain and develop key accounts.Maintain direct contact with existing key accountsResolve problems, customer complaints, and regenerate good will towards ETC.Negotiate sales arrangements for key accountsEntertain customers, develop and maintain long term relations with key accountsDevelop new key accounts to insure long term business for ETCOther duties as assigned.Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashionManage expenses and budgets related to travelComplete expense reports and turn in for approval.Minimum QualificationsTechnical Degree, or comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in a related discipline3-5 years previous experience in Rigging Sales.Knowledge of company policiesMotivation and leadership skillsExcellent communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to integrate with multiple personalitiesExcellent problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service skillsComputer skillsKnowledge of shipping methodsAbility to work in a close team atmosphere.Ability to handle multiple tasks
