The Educational Foundation of Lake County is a direct support organization for Lake County Schools. We are searching for a unique individual to join our small group of dedicated professionals who give their best to raise funds for the teachers and students of Lake County Schools. Become a Community Resource Liaison and receive five paid holidays, winter break and spring break.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience, preferably with a non-profit
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s license
JOB FUNCTIONS:
This is a professional managerial level position. Some of the duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinates and implements various programs while meeting the budget established by the foundation board.
- Solicits and secures resources for the foundation and Lake County Schools in the form of cash or material donations, volunteers, and mentors.
- Establishes relationships with local media for the purpose of marketing the foundation, and its accomplishments, utilizing technology inclusive of print, social media, and the website.
- Prepares and distributes press releases for all events, accomplishments, major donations, and grants.
- Maintains and updates all foundation social media resources.
- Compiles and provides accurate reports in a timely manner.
- Recruits volunteers and mentors for foundation related programs and events through use of media, speaking engagements, and technology.
- Coordinates volunteer, mentor, and business partner appreciation programs.
- Establishes and implements a system for thanking donors, volunteers, mentors, and business partners.
- Assists with special foundation projects and events, to include working evenings and weekends as needed.
