Position Overview: Friends Children & Families is a non-profit agency that provides care for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. We are currently seeking a Therapist to oversee therapeutic services in the residential group homes.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately completes CFARS and is responsible for outcomes.
- Provides individual, group and family support counseling.
- Oversees implementation of the treatment plan.
- Trains the direct care staff in particular components of the individualized treatment plan.
- Participates in treatment team meetings, weekly.
- Schedules Psychiatric Appointments for clients, as needed.
- Responsible for developing the behavioral aspects of the client’s discharge and after care plans and for liaison with ADM, and/or the Office of Family Safety and Preservation case workers.
- Consults with children, parents, social workers, caseworkers and mental health technicians for the child’s welfare.
- Provides assistance in crisis interventions and participates in on-call process, adhering to process and procedures.
- Reviews medication logs of assigned clients weekly, ensuring correct medication administration and dosage in absence of clinical administrator.
- Knowledgeable in and complies with the updated Medicaid policy and procedures.
- Attends all judicial reviews and IEPS, as needed.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education or in a related human services field. Two years related field experience or internship. Must attain CFARS certification, upon hire.
Salary & Benefits:
$36,000 - $40,000
Full-time employees are eligible for coverage under the provisions of our benefits program. This includes 80% coverage for employee Health, 50% Dental, and 100% Life insurance. Benefits are effective 90 days from your start date.
In addition to the insurance benefits, you will receive 10 PTO days and 12 Sick days annually. Both PTO and Sick time are accrued bi-weekly.
