Custodian

Pay Level: Unit 1 Level 8  Starting Wage: Negotiable

Summary:

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Team Leader for Lake Hart Services, maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the World Headquarters building by performing various necessary cleaning functions with a strong emphasis on floors, carpeting and trash pickup.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Sweep, scrub, mop and wax floors; vacuum and shampoo rugs and carpets in offices including all meeting rooms, interview rooms, conference rooms and copy room areas; wash windows and wall; strip, wax and buff floors. Pick up and clean trash containers and maintain custodial room and cart in a clean and safe manner. Operate a variety of machinery and equipment including buffing machine, vacuums, scrubber, and a variety of hand tools; perform minor repairs as necessary. Must have knowledge of proper safety and custodial methods. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75lbs. Emphasis would be on trash pickup and floor and carpet cleaning.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma plus three to 12 months experience in custodial field or sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.
