The Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida invites applicants to apply for the Executive Director of the Children Safety Village position.
Job Summary:
The innovative candidate selected as Executive Director would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations (10%), programming (45%), and fundraising activities (45%) of the Children's Safety Village (CSV) to ensure the Village remains a leading authority on childhood injuries and injury prevention. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors and is not an employee of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, in business administration, accounting, finance, marketing, public relations, or related field.
- Five years (5) of related non-profit experience including fundraising, grant writing, high level volunteer recruitment and committee management.
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
- Upon selection, must successfully pass a medical exam.
- Must receive and successfully complete training for CPR within six (6) months of employment.
- Must have intermediate computer skills to include word processing, excel spreadsheets, power point presentations and data base applications. Proficient with accounting software preferred (e.g., Quicken).
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (e.g., special events).
Salary
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
- Performance-based Compensation: Additional incentive pay (up to $20k) available to employee for exceeding established annual goals.
