The mission of The Los Angeles Film School is to inspire students with an inventive method of education that concentrates on preparation for career opportunities in the entertainment and media industry. Position Overview:
We are seeking a Program Director with hands-on experience in the business of the music industry as well as teaching experience to manage the academic degree, including curriculum, instruction, student support, and community outreach. Students are creative professionals and entrepreneurs from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds worldwide. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Winter Park, FL, working from local offices in support of The Los Angeles Film School.
The Program Director is responsible for hiring and training instructors, directing curriculum and ensuring its quality, supporting students and student activities, participating in the marketing of the program, administrative management of the program, and participation in broader school activities. The Program Director is expected to perform these responsibilities consistent with the vision, mission and strategy of the school. Program Directors display the highest professional standards, representing the school with a positive demeanor and participating in the school’s activities with a collaborative spirit.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in music business or closely related field; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 4 years professional, verifiable work experience on the business side of the music industry, including current methods of distributing and monetizing musical content
- Hands-on experienced with current industry tools, technologies, and methods
- 2+ years teaching experience, online experience a plus
- Competent using Apple/Mac environment, Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Management/supervisory experience preferred
- Positive attitude, a desire to help others, and a passion for educating and developing people
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Flexible schedule is necessary, including availability during some evenings and weekends
- Must be available for occasional travel (less than 10%)
