Summary
The Specialist, Sales and Marketing Production provides strategic and analytical support to the WVO Talent Team. This role requires an intuitive and resourceful skill set in reading data and being a strong negotiator to be able to manage by influence. The Specialist role requires high technical skill requirements, needs to be detail-oriented, able to handle pressure, receptive to feedback, and will be accessible to all levels of the WVO organization.
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities include for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Sales and Marketing Support. Leveraging multiple tools, platforms, and resources, this position is responsible for providing strategic support to internal groups and departments, specifically the Talent Team. Examples include leveraging actionable data and performance models to forecast and provide operational guidance. This position is responsible for participating at a collaborative level with department associates in multiple, simultaneous initiatives, ongoing or ad-hoc, to deliver sales and marketing tools, collaterals, and process improvements.
- Operational Analysis. Responsible for using company-sanctioned data sources (i.e. approved by the WVO Data Governance Committee) to interpret sales and marketing (to include recruiting and training) trends, efficiencies, and opportunities. Works with Talent Team associates and leaders to identify and migrate strategic opportunities into tangible tactics and results. Liaison with WVO IT for Sales and Marketing Needs. Articulates/communicates sales and marketing needs to IT leaders and team members. Provides requirement-gathering assistance, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on behalf of the Talent Team and disseminates to corporate and field Sales and Marketing leadership as directed. Monitors Departmental Effectiveness. Measures effectiveness of learning solutions, recruiting and training processes, sales and marketing programs, special projects and provides actionable guidance based upon quantifiable results/production. Inter-Department Facilitation. Partners with other business groups and departments as needed or directed, such as HR, corporate promotions, FP&A in the execution of Talent Team and WVO sales and marketing objectives. Other Duties. Performs other duties as assigned by team or WVO senior leadership.
Travel Requirements
Minimal. Travel is not a basic requirement of this position, but operational needs may arise that require a nominal amount of travel during a given time frame.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Education
- High School graduate
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
Knowledge and skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of multi-tasking with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and apply appropriate time and resources
- Strong organizational skills and high degree of business acumen
- High level of detail orientation
- High level of change tolerance and ability to work in a dynamic, fluid operational environment
- Excellent presentation, oral, written and interpersonal skills needed.
- Strong collaboration and facilitative skills. Must be able to manage via influence.
Technical Skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Power Point and Word
- Expert level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel – this includes formula writing, pivot tables, and files that have a large amount of data
- Knowledge with Macros is preferred
- Working knowledge of internal WVO reporting platforms and applications, such as Hyperion, Epiphany, CRS, Mainframe, SAS, and SalePoint
- Familiarity with SQL and proficient in disseminating actionable data
- Experience with reading and writing SQL
- Ability to read SQL script for Hyperion reporting
- Build ad hoc queries and reports
Job experience
- 3-5 years of industry, WVO experience preferred
- Strong familiarity with WVO product and services
- Demonstrated track record of work with sales and marketing initiatives
