Title: Health Innovation Project / Research Manager
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Health Innovation
FLSA Status: Exempt
General Summary: The Health Innovation Project / Research Manager is responsible for research methodology, development of survey instruments, guidelines, and procedures, as well as, management of the technology and database used to collect and store data. This position serves as a project manager for all of the health and wellness initiatives within the Lake Nona Institute. This Manager is responsible for the integrity of the participant database and works directly with our partner’s compliance staff and the IRBs to ensure all processes and procedures are properly documented and implemented.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as the administrator of the participant database (Salesforce)
- Manage all updates to the participant database (address changes, withdrawals, sub-study fields, survey cohorts etc.)
- Manage research vendors (Mytrus & DataStat) and ensuring that data capture across systems is seamless and timely
- Prepare weekly dashboard reports
- Develop daily recruitment reports for staff
- Manage follow-up tasks and automated communications to participants via Salesforce
- Review protocols and study design to ensure the quality of data captured and the user-experience is optimized
- Develop supporting materials for special projects/sub-studies (e.g. FAQs, study brochure, instructions for using a technology etc.)
- Assist in the development of processes and procedures for special projects/sub-studies
- Serve as a liaison to the Lake Nona Research Council
- Manage market research vendors / conduct focus group sessions
- Identify and execute grant applications
- Work closely with the Manager of Recruitment and Engagement to ensure optimal participant user-experience
- Serve as Project Manager for the Lake Nona Impact Forum (manager of official documents and spreadsheets, task lists, meeting notes, etc.)

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or Psychology related or research field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management
- Marketing research or clinical research experience
- Proficiency in performing statistical analysis of numerical data
- Must be a team player with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done
- Exceptional leadership qualities and communication skills
- Ability to successfully manage cross functional relationships while ensuring accountability for deadlines and commitments
- Must radiate a high level of contagious energy, not complacent or content with status-quo
- Ability to proactively identify critical path tasks and without exception execute on those tasks
- Effective communication, cooperation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong ability to problem solve while not sacrificing project goals
- Able to maintain a dual focus on the big picture and the details
- Exceptional proficiency in Numbers/Excel and CMS software such as Salesforce
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above
- Must be physically able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to communicate in English effectively with other individuals
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
