THE BOATHOUSE is currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager.
Position Summary
Responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintained of equipment, restaurants, buildings and other facilities. Plans, budgets and schedules facility modification including estimates on equipment, labor material and other related costs.
Essential Job Functions
- Primary resource to maintain and address any issues with the company's facilities
- Plans, budgets, and schedules facilities programs and processes, including estimates
- Initiate placed maintenance programs for a variety of restaurant facilities and equipment
- Responsible for preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC, office equipment, kitchen equipment, etc.
- Tracks and manages field requests for maintenance capital projects
- Keeps in compliance with and knowledge of all OSHA regulations
- Supervise and trains maintenance staff, conduct timely performance reviews, and holds regularly scheduled shift meetings
- Maintain organization and sanitation of maintenance parts, tools, and departmental area
- Serve as a liaison between restaurant, landlords, contractors, and vendors when needed to repair facilities
- Maintain the overall leadership in safety awareness and performance in the department
- Provide leadership of the department to develop and manage preventive maintenance program using a parts management system and ensure PM is performed safely and according to manufacturer policies.
- Lead and participate in all major repairs, capital and maintenance projects and manage outside contractors as necessary
- Develop and manage department budget and manage all financial aspects of the department including capital projects and payroll
- Requirements
- Must be proficient in electrical troubleshooting. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints/electrical schematics
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi task
- Advanced computer skills
- Must have demonstrated skills/certifications in general maintenance, HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing
- Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations
- Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels in and out of the restaurants
- 24/7 on call availability
Preferred Education and Work Experience
- BS Degree in Facilities Management or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field, two of which were holding a supervisor position directing a multi-functional maintenance staff
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and audits required, i.e., USDA audits, HACCP, OHSA, etc.
