Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze customer drawings, specifications, bid packages and other documentation to establish labor requirements, prepare job routings, and create bills of material to fabricate a product
- Interact with customers directly to gather necessary information in order to quote jobs per print or sample
- Assist with customers and sales team in product design and selection of materials to best fit project scope and customer requirements
- Source vendors and subcontractors for various projects, discussing and obtaining appropriate quotations
- Actively engage with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, and reduce costs
- Prepare proposals in a professional and timely manner
- Cooperatively take on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or estimating
- Knowledge of stainless steel, aluminum & other metal alloys
- General understanding of plating types, painting, powder coating, and welding
- Experience with ERP software systems
- Demonstrate an ability in commonly used software (for example, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various types of data, especially mechanical drawings
- Ability to effectively present information both orally and in written form and to respond to questions from customers and other employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Work well with others and be a team member
- Display and maintain enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Experience is a plus
